On the SAGA both 3306 generators are equipped with front hydraulic PTO's. Several mechanical mounting issues lead to an angle alignment problem between drum, clutch, gearbox and pump. The alignment issue shortened the life of the clutch friction shoes substantially. The SAGA's crew had to replace severeal 10" EATON clutches per season. The picture shows the new designed mounting feet. The Vickers pump delivers 175 Hp @ 1800 RPM.
