The Sea Cloud was built in 1973 by Mc Dermott in Morgan City. Twin CAT 3606 engines power the vessel. A 10-60 PSI direct air input controls the governor.
The CH5-3400 Control heads where serviced with repair kit CH5-5402. This kit provides the replacement parts for the speed pressure regulator and the gear shift puppet valves.
This service ensures positive and defined shift detents and repeatable control of engine speed.
The vessel has a 5-station total, the aft stations are connected with 3/16 steel cable.
The CB1-1600 air clutch inflation panel provides the slow fill / hard fill function. When this function is timed correct, it allows the engine to accelerate the shaft without losing to much speed and it prevents the clutch pads from starting to smell. The panel also holds down the throttle signal while the inflation is in progress.
New rubber parts ensure reliable shift of the Eaton clutches.
Station transfer panel and shuttle area.
We serviced the valves, replaced damaged fittings and hoses.
The AD12-5000 panel was serviced with service kit AD-12-5001. This kit can be used for the old and current AD-12 designs.
The logic panel provides the reverse maneuver time delays, and the throttle boost during clutch engagement. These functions require clean valves and replacement of worn rubber parts.
