The Polar Star in dry dock to service the Escher Wyss CPP system. In this overhaul season the shafts will be pulled for inspection. 

Hub getting pulled back, the oil was drained from the hub

Hub transporter is moving to the crain hookup. The hub handler allows for safe and efficient removal and installation of the Escher Wyss hub.

The OD box control shaft was maschined and pollished to restore the sealing surfaces using the in place journal tourning lathe.

The slide valve spool was replaced during this service. 

Control shaft and slide rings have to be fitted for correct clerance.

The white metal slide rings have been machined to fit the new OD and are reinstalled.
